"Turning the Tide: Practical Biblical Principles for Overcoming Poverty, Lack, and Debt" is a book that draws on the author's experience of financial difficulties and how they were overcome with the Word of God.
The author is a medical doctor, and the book draws on her unique perspective on the causes of anaemia in the body, how this is similar to the causes of financial difficulties, and how these can be overcome by practical application of the Word of God.
I think readers will be most impacted by the analogy of the red blood cell and how this can be practically applied to managing financial difficulties. My favourite part of the book was the part about opposition and learning that no one will oppose you if you do not have something worth fighting for.
If you want the blessing of God on your life to be greatly manifested, you must plant the seed God has given to you. It’s not enough to sing to yourself in your back garden when you can be singing to thousands or millions of people. It’s not enough to design your dresses on paper and then crunch them up and throw them away when you can be the greatest designer the world has ever seen. It is not enough to be an ordinary member of an IT team when you can be designing software worth millions of dollars. It is not enough to admire products on supermarket shelves when you can be a manufacturer yourself.
It is not enough to bury your talent and check up on it only once in a while.
