My book is a self-help memoir about an intense battle with religious OCD, intrusive thoughts, anxiety, and church hurt, which severely distorted my view of God and faith.
I write about healing and reclaiming faith. My goal is to extend hope to those struggling with any of these issues. My book delivers on that promise.
I write about a topic that is not much talked about. I want to bring awareness to religious OCD and the intrusive thoughts that torment the mind, and the urge to get rid of these thoughts through compulsive behavior that is exhausting.
Readers will learn about religious OCD, also called scrupulosity.
The last chapter briefly talks about Kingdom concepts that I think the readers will be impacted and the candidness of the book.
I pray that this book will bring hope to you as you journey
through your struggle with OCD and religion. There is nothing
wrong with you; you have anxiety and trauma that need healing.
Something beautiful can come out of the broken pieces of your
OCD and religion.
Recovery is possible, so as you learn to move through the
intrusive thoughts and compulsions with less attention given to
them, you will learn to love yourself, say kind words to yourself,
and rise to new heights of freedom in every aspect of your life.
Know that the intrusive thoughts are not your thoughts. Don’t
try to walk this path alone; it is too traumatic. You deserve kind
and compassionate help, so reach out.
