Peace in the Midst of the Storm glorifies the significant impact of embracing resilience, designated worth, strong faith, and unwavering confidence in enduring through obstacles and trials, regardless of how difficult they may be. It also brings into effect that no matter how frustrating life deals us a heavy load, the ability to concede is never an option. Peace in the Midst of the Storm also serves as a personal testament of becoming anew through consistent growth and being favored with great courage. This shows that regardless of our mistakes, life does not promise us that we will remain positioned in negativity. What we were in our pasts will not seep into who we have grown to be as positive individuals. Therefore, we will become better than we were before. What we have now realized is that we often have to prepare to speak victory over our storms and as we continue to encourage ourselves to do that, we will overcome anything.
Blossoming from a vision that the Lord gave me, I strongly believe that this book is heavily signified as a daily reminder to uplift, encourage, motivate, nurture, guide, and strengthen the brokenhearted as well as the free. Being one who has been through a fair share of anxiety and fear, this book helps instill self-confidence and inner peace in order to channel positivity and optimism in the midst of adversity. Therefore, with the book providing spiritual doses throughout, it provides the willingness to touch the heart, soothe the soul, and speak to the spirit. To conclude, what makes this book unique is the poetic aspect that is embraced. Yes, the book sets to inspire but what makes it beautiful is how spiritual it is, especially when mentioning the goodness of the Lord, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.
I believe that readers would enjoy how I intertwined my very first poem into my very first poetry book. When I was 12, I wrote my first poem in the 7th grade about the famed Olympic track athlete, Jesse Owens, in which I mentioned how he overcame adversity and his own obstacles to make a positive impact for himself and his peers overall. With that being said, with this book being my very first one with themes of inspiration, motivation, encouragement, faith, and spirituality, it was amazing how this all came together. Therefore, this is why I intentionally saved this poem for last in my book so readers can read about and experience this full-circle moment.
When the storm in your life is raging, remember that it will not last always. This life wasn’t promised to be easy for all of us, but we were graced with the vital strength to endure through even the most difficult challenges. Therefore, the inner peace within you will encourage you to hold on and never give into defeat as your divine breakthrough will begin to manifest in the blink of an eye. If you’re hurting, it’s only temporary. If you’re feeling alone, it’s only temporary. Constricted in fatigue and restlessness, it’s only temporary. What you have started out in becoming will only lead to a valuable transformation where you will no longer be anxious about anything. Hope hears your strained voice as love willingly comforts to make your broken spirit whole. Time enables you to hold yourself accountable for your own happiness. Your seed will sprout into rejuvenation for your tomorrow and the days ahead. I pray you heal from your past, embrace what you have now, and honor the need of choosing yourself as well as prepare for a beautiful future that nourishes and completes your soul.
Faith, resilience, empowerment. The beauty of faith transitions us as troubled individuals into calm-spirited souls as we are at rest knowing that everything will work together for our good. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things that are unseen. What has been positioned to bring us deserving favor, whether it be a promising career or unexpected financial well-being, is a valuable gift that is not at risk of being taken away. Through the difficult storm, faith enables us to possess a clearer vision beyond what others do not have the desire to see themselves. As we embrace the light that has lifted us from where darkness has placed us, we are courageous enough to become resilient in pushing ourselves to be redefined as meek and worthy. We are too involved in pursuing our designated purpose that we have become disinterested in looking back to what we once were. We are no longer the same as we refuse to let what was meant to break us affect our mental, physical, and spiritual mentality. I can only imagine how proud we must be to bury distraught and worry and secure the value of expressing the confidence to overcome anything. Therefore, this is where empowerment lies. Empowerment grants us the necessity of giving ourselves the permission to be steadfast in focusing on where we need to go and where we need to be. We were built to heal and elevate from the scars that attempted to permanently damage our sacred temples. We were built to stand firmly, in spite of the obstacles that were repeatedly present. We were built to know that we are enough.
