"Mom, I'm losing it... my voice! What is happening?"
Imagine one day being fine to the next day being fully paralyzed without knowing why. Yells of a Quiet Young Man was written to share the author’s crazy unexpected detour and the unique thoughts on life. As a church youth group leader with 10 + years of experience. Kapen grew a big heart for today's teens and young adults seeing their lost unguided direction for their futures. He wanted this book to act as a resource to help teens and young adults think critically about their faith, their choices, and their future. Providing devotions to help grow in faith, getting guidance for life, and seeing God's immeasurable love for them. Kapen has used his life experience to give an easy-to-read devotional mixed with the platform of his illness to hopefully relate to different people. No matter where you are at with your faith you can gain something from reading this book. It’s best to go through this book with a journal handy, for notes and reflection. It would also be a great book to read through with a close circle of friends or church small group. God is not done with Kapen’s story and God’s not done with yours either! Buy this book and find out what all this yelling is about!

Pretend that you see a plain glass vase in an empty white room. If you don’t touch it, the vase is all it will ever be. Now imagine someone coming and smashing it. You get mad, upset, and angry until you find out that the person’s intention is to make a beautiful mosaic on the wall and give the vase a different purpose. Now make the stretch: the vase is us, and the person is Christ. Without Christ, we only know how to be one thing until He breaks us. While we are being broken, we are confused, mad, and hurt. We then are amazed when we look at the wall behind us to see the beautiful mosaic He made with our brokenness. When we choose to be only a vase, we miss out on becoming a picture made by God. He needs us in small pieces so He can move us into certain spots. In order for us to become small, we must let Him break us, even if it’s painful. The mosaic is also what we show people. It’s our testimony. Yes, I’ve been broken many times, but with my brokenness, God is making a masterpiece. Look at how good He is!"
