Whether you are a new Christian, a long-time follower of Christ, or just someone who is curious about God, you will find Angel in White an inspiring and engaging book that you won’t want to put down. It’s a true autobiographical story about a girl from the same hometown in western Pennsylvania that David Wilkerson was from, and a similar calling to New York City, but to be part of Times Square Church, the church that Rev. Wilkerson founded there. It’s a story that takes you through her amazing salvation and the many trials and tribulations she faced in learning to walk with God. She learned not only how real God is, but how real Satan is, and the battle between good and evil for one’s soul. She also learned how to “count the cost” and go “through the fire”, suffering severe heartache to be made into a vessel of honor for God, trusting that He knows best. The main story-line is about her call to New York and how a naïve, country girl faced all of her fears to go to the big city as she felt God was leading. Her trips include some gripping moments where the devil continues to try to steal, kill and destroy. But God triumphs over and over again as the author learns to trust and obey Him in all things, knowing that the life God has for us is bigger and better than we ever could have imagined and that, truly, He gives us life, and life more abundantly!
The book is about a calling to Rev. David Wilkerson's church in New York City called Times Square Church. The author and Rev. Wilkerson are from the same hometown in Pennsylvania and a similar calling.
It's a true story of a naive, single mother from the back woods of Pennsylvania who faced all of her fears to go to New York City for a very special purpose.
When I finally made it home, I did a lot of thinking about all of the events that had taken place since I had gotten saved. It had been one thing after another. My life was in turmoil and, after this latest attack, I was convinced that Satan would stop at nothing to kill me. I wanted to live for Jesus, but I was scared to death and couldn't see any way possible for me to fight a force as powerful as Satan and his demons. All I wanted was for my life to be back to normal again.
It was at that point that I made a very foolish decision. I made a deal with the devil. I told him that if he would just leave me alone and let me go back to living a normal life again, that I would stop serving Jesus. The attacks stopped immediately, and I turned my back on serving the Lord.
