Do you believe no one knows the real you? Have you doubted God’s goodness, love, or existence?
Do you long to find hope for your life and reclaim your story?
Sarah de Orlando’s heart breaks for you because she’s been there. In her debut memoir, Sarah takes the readers lovingly into a deeply personal journey to a life-changing eight months in Poland where she met Jesus. Unexpectedly, he wasn’t an aloof religious figure confined to cathedrals but a loving, kind friend. This encounter set her on a path of vibrant, whole living. Sarah shares authentically how her relationship blossomed as she learned to receive and give Jesus’ love. You will feel Sarah reaching out through these pages with a warm embrace and then look you in the eyes, “This hope is for you.”

It is a memoir with language, metaphors, and imagery that draws you in and helps you feel like you are on a healing journey with the author to overcome depression and anxiety.
This book is a refreshing story on God's love and hope for the most broken situations.
“I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go. If only you had paid attention to my commands, your peace would have been like a river, your well-being like the waves of the sea.” Isaiah 48:18
Remembering my times on the Baltic, the Lord gave me healing, wave after wave; I was done rejecting his love and truth. His peace saturated my mind. It was easy to agree to his good plans for my life—as I focused on his love—and trusted he knew me through and through. He knew where I had been, and where I was going. I let go of the broken shards of glass in my clenched fists. My wounds were raw and infected. I was safest when I fell apart in Jesus’ love and healing hand. It was counter-intuitive, but by his grace, I started to feel the sweet freedom on the other side of surrender.
Healing brings beauty from pain. The broken glass in the waves is not forsaken or discarded, but revitalized as it is washed, tumbled, and washed again. Looking back, I had a choice to embrace: As a follower of Jesus, I am not defined by how broken I was, but by his identity shining through me. I relaxed in his waves, allowing them to smooth my sharp edges. I was transforming more into his likeness and beauty, from this place my truest self emerged. His work in my life began to shine through the pieces of my heart. I know there is hope for your own painful story; Jesus can redeem the worst life has thrown at you too.
